Also thank you for including me into your Sketchup collections.
I too have Sketchup 17 and refuse to go pro, so there shouldn't be a problem to down load my model unless your pc isn't so powerful, I put shadows on for maximum presentation so when down loaded you should immediately take them off otherwise a crash will be inevitable.

Hello my friend.
I was searching around on sketchup warehouse the a couple of months ago and came across an amazingly detailed X Wing fighter made by a guy called Matthias K. I saw your comment and i agree that it is indeed "the best made x wing out there"
BUT. i was extremely upset to see that the guy had completely ignored the color code for all x wings and had drowned the whole fighter in a rusty light brown texture.
I have now corrected this error, i have re painted and textured Red five back to it's full potential and glory.
I used pictures from the original new hope hero model to be accurate with painting and even found a 3D rebel pilot chopped him up and sat him in the seat with his hands firmly planted on the joy stick.

Honestly, I can't fault people for having badly textured ships. I hate doing that part. (And, I'm colorblind)
But every time you do one of these, I have to admit you're much better at it!

I do understand you and other modelers with the painting part, it must be frustrating to spend weeks on a model and then think oh shit now i have to pant it,
Painting usually takes less than a quarter of the time it takes to build a complete model so i don't get so weighed down with it although the X Wing took way longer because of the research taken in order to get the correct color code for the original red five, the cockpit and pilot is another story completely.
